Danielle Duseau Named to USFH Top U17 Athletes

Danielle Duseau hails from the small town of Hatfield in Western Massachusetts. She attends Smith Academy.  Smith Academy is a 7th-12th grade regional school with a student population of 193. Danielle’s class of 2014 has just 31 students enrolled. Talk about small! Danielle follows in the big steps of Judy Strong (UMass; USFH Olympian ’80 & ‘84) and Kelly Dostal (Wake Forest ‘05/USFH National Team).

On July 22, 2012 USFH announced the top U17 athletes in the country who were named to the 2012-13 US Junior National Field Hockey Squad. Selections were made following the completion of Junior National Camp, a four-day training camp where athletes showcase their skills in front of selectors for a spot on the U.S. Junior National Squads. 

Danielle was named to this squad which reported to a training camp in January 2013 at the Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Cali. Following the training camp, select athletes will be announced to a travel squad that will tour internationally in the spring of 2013.
